We’re looking for a detail-driven and experienced Rent & Service Charge Accountant to join a dynamic team at a respected housing provider in South East London.\n\nSalary: £50,200 per annum + fantastic benefits & career progression \nContract Type: Permanent\nLocation: South East London\nWorking Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid/ Flexible working arrangment You’ll play a pivotal role in managing rent increases, setting service charges, and overseeing income reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and value for money across the board. From preparing invoices and rent journals to leading annual audits and supporting forecasting, your work will directly impact the financial wellbeing of the organisation and its residents.\n\n What you'll do:\n\nLead the annual rent and service charge setting process\nEnsure compliance with housing regulations and audit recommendations\nMonitor and reconcile rental income and bad debts\nProcess adjustments, refunds, and invoices\nCollaborate with Finance and Income teams on budget planning and reporting\nManage KPIs and produce regular performance reports\nAct as a key point of contact for rent and service charge queriesWhat you'll bring:\n\nSocial housing finance experience (essential)\nStrong knowledge of Orchard or similar housing systems\nAdvanced Excel and financial reporting skills\nRelevant accounting qualifications (ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, CIMA)\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsIf you're passionate about social housing, have a sharp eye for detail, and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.\n\n 📧 Apply now to join a values-led organisation making a difference in the community
