SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support (1:1) | Barking
Location: Barking, East LondonRole: SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Autism SupportStart Date: May 2025Contract: Long-term, Full-time Salary: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-organised, inclusive primary school in Barking, looking for compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for children with upcoming EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:
?? Previous experience working with Autism (ASD) or Special Educational Needs in a school setting?? Confidence supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups (phonics experience desirable)?? Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff?? Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach?? Strong behaviour management and communication skills?? A good understanding of child development and IEP and EHCP targets
Essential Compliance for Teaching Assistants:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)Right to work in the UK
* Your CV must contain all work since leaving formal education
* 2 professional references (within the last 2 years)
* Overseas police check (if applicable)
