Position: Structural Integrity Engineer
As a Structural Integrity Engineer at Perenco UK, you will be part of a team contributing to the technical management of the structural integrity assurance and regulatory compliance of our offshore and onshore assets, ensuring that Perenco UK’s structural assets continue to run safely until the projected end of field life dates.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Support in-service inspection and repair
2. Suitability engineering assessments related to asset structural integrity
3. Regulatory compliance and performance on behalf of Perenco UK
This role is based in our Norwich Office with the requirement to travel offshore periodically. You will report directly to the Structural Team Lead/Technical Authority for PUK Structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of this role include:
1. Managing and Running Perenco’s Structural Integrity Management Strategy (SIMS)
2. Review and assess structural inspections for topside and subsea-updating Written Schemes of Examination and Inspection Frequencies using a Risk Based Approach
3. Maintaining Safety Critical Elements in accordance with Performance Standards
4. Generate and specify Repair Orders and Fabric Maintenance Recommendations
5. Contribute to the management of weight database for all offshore installations
6. Assessments for lifting and temporary loads
7. Air Gap and Tilt Surveys in accordance with the Structural Inspection Strategy
8. Contribute to the development of information to support the Annual Summary Report ASR for all installations
Experience/Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Working towards professional membership of an appropriate Institute (ICE, IStructE or IMechE) and Chartered status
* Ideally, 2 years of experience working as a Structural Engineer dealing with structural integrity
* Good written and verbal communication skills
