Payments Technical Account Manager (Contract-to-Perm) Location: Hybrid – London Contract: 6–8 months (strong potential to convert to permanent) Our client — a leading name in global payments — is seeking an experienced and technically minded Payments Technical Account Manager to join their high-performing Operations team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in optimizing card processing, resolving complex payment issues, and driving operational excellence across the payment ecosystem. What You’ll Be Doing * Be the go-to expert for acquirers, issuers, and network partners — providing hands-on technical and operational support. * Investigate and resolve incidents around transaction processing, settlement delays, and network issues. * Analyze end-to-end payment flows to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements across systems and networks. * Extract and interpret data from Snowflake using SQL and create insightful dashboards and reports in Tableau. * Collaborate cross-functionally with business development teams to improve acceptance rates and support new product launches. * Manage network certifications and compliance processes, ensuring all participants meet operational and regulatory standards. * Lead initiatives to streamline processes and reporting — leveraging Salesforce automation and data visualization to boost efficiency. * Contribute to key EMEA programs such as settlement resolution, SCA/ProtectBuy coordination, compliance audits, and BCP reviews. * Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic business reviews and engaging internal communications. What You Bring * Strong technical knowledge of card payments operations — ideally from a card scheme, acquirer, or processor. * Solid SQL skills (Snowflake experience is a big plus). * Tableau proficiency for reporting and insights. * Proven experience resolving complex operational issues in payments or fintech environments. * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — able to translate technical insights into business value. * A proactive, analytical mindset with a passion for improving payment flows and network performance.
