Overview
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, ensuring company procedures and road safety regulations are followed at all times. You will be representing a major logistics brand, so a professional attitude and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle
2. Complete trunking or store delivery routes as scheduled
3. Ensure loads are checked and correctly secured using straps
4. Accurately complete all relevant paperwork
5. Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
6. Maintain professional conduct at depots and delivery locations
Requirements
7. Full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
8. Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
9. Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience
10. Experience with load strapping
11. Strong communication and customer service skills
12. Good understanding of drivers’ hours and road safety regulations
