Job Title: Employability Manager
Location: Centre based – Kent
Salary: £35,000
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Responsibilities
* Daily performance management of a team of Employment Advisor's, Employability Tutor's and Recruitment Consultants who are responsible for supporting unemployed individuals into employment.
* Support new staff members through action plans that have been developed during their induction programme, ensuring that they achieve early productivity success and pass their probationary period.
* Ensure your team have a clear understanding of their measurable Targets / KPI’s, and effectively manage their performance and productivity to ensure these are achieved.
* Ensure effective relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders (fund holders; referral sources; partner organisations etc.).
* Prepare and deliver presentations to the business and for partner, stakeholder and community events.
* Develop and review Continuous Improvement Plans to ensure ongoing development of the business and its ability to meet contractual obligations and standards, as required by Ofsted etc.
* Carry out regular observations of activity, coaching and ongoing support.
* Address under-performance and set out clear corrective actions for improvement.
* Monitoring of vacancies / employment opportunities for unemployed participants and ensure that vacancy generation is in appropriate occupational areas and at a sufficient level to meet caseload requirements.
* Plan and monitor In-Work Support activities and ensure that participants who are identified as at risk of not sustaining employment are identified and supported accordingly.
Essential Criteria
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Must hold strong leadership and management experience, ideally within the employability sector though this is not essential.
* Experience of managing a team towards the achievement of set targets.
* Knowledge of the local labour market and ability to develop strong relationships with referral partners and stakeholders.
* Ideally have up to date knowledge of employability/welfare to work programmes.
* Excellent people management and performance management skills.
* Proven experience of managing budgets and working towards/achieving targets.
* Full, clean UK driving licence and own vehicle.
* Must be flexible with travel.
