We are currently for a skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader / Manager to be based in our Shirley Nursery. The nursery offers state-of-the-art facilities, combining bright and spacious indoor rooms along with fabulous outdoor areas.
You can earn up to £29,442 per annum working Full time (40 hours per week) – 4 days a week or 5 days at 8.30am to 5.30pm.
To be considered for the Nursery Room Leader / Room Manager role you must have:
* At least 1 years’ experience in a Nursery Room Leader role or equivalent
* Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
* Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Ability to use your own initiative
* Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children

Key Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting the nursery staff within the room.
* Delegating tasks effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Providing guidance, mentoring, and training to staff members.
* Conducting regular team meetings to discuss planning, observations, and child development.
* Ensuring the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework is followed.
* Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
* Monitoring children's progress through observations and assessments.
* Supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development.
* Ensuring all safeguarding and child protection policies are strictly followed.
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment, completing risk assessments.
* Administering first aid when necessary and reporting incidents appropriately.
* Ensuring children’s allergies, dietary, and medical needs are met.
* Building strong relationships with parents and carers.
* Communicating regularly about children's progress and well-being.
* Conducting parent meetings and providing updates on development milestones.
* Keeping accurate records of children’s development, attendance, and incidents.
* Ensuring policies and procedures are consistently implemented.
* Assisting with nursery inspections (e.g., Ofsted) and compliance with regulations.
