Job Summary
Band 3 Health Care Assistant, Adult Inpatient Service at the Derwent Centre, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow.
Responsibilities
* Under supervision of a qualified team member, implement and assist with the evaluation of individual care plans.
* Work from time to time without direct supervision.
* Provide 24‑hour care, participating in flexible rosters.
* Maintain effective relationships with members of the multidisciplinary team, the Trust, and other statutory and voluntary organisations.
* Fulfil the role of co‑worker under the supervision of a qualified nurse or clinician.
* Deliver planned care to service users identified by the appointed professional.
* Assist qualified staff in the physical monitoring of patient health, including vital signs and drug‑ and alcohol screening (after appropriate training).
* Assist senior staff in planning and delivering therapeutic and social activities for patients.
* Maintain effective relationships with patients, their relatives and other carers.
Training & Induction
Eligible candidates will attend a one‑week face‑to‑face induction at the MSE ICB Education Hub, followed by another week of corporate and mandatory training, which may be delivered face‑to‑face or virtually.
