Waiting List Manager

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.


Main duties of the job

The Waiting List Manager will be assisting the Imaging Senior Management team in ensuring there is efficient and effective waiting list/operational management within the CDC and all the services that it supports to enable it to deliver high quality patient care within the resources available.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly in order to deliver the Directorate/ CDC agenda and offer support to other colleagues across the operational and clinical management team as and when required.

The post holder will ensure monitoring and validation waiting lists/reporting backlogs whilst also monitoring and driving utilisation for the CDC service as a whole, with the focus on pathway achievement and reporting TAT. This will involve liaising with administration staff and clinical staff including the multidisciplinary team specialists throughout the trust. They will provide appropriate line management as required.

You will work as a team with both the Operational Service Managers and Senior Operational Service Manager across the Imaging Directorate and the CDC management team to assist in the delivery of departmental KPI's. You will produce accurate validation to ensure up to date preparation of performance data to be presented at weekly Performance Meetings.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Reasonable standard of GSCE A-C (3-9) or equivalent
* Diploma/Degree in Management or health related subject
* NVQ Level 3 in admin / customer service related area


Skills

* Awareness of NHS plan access Targets
* Ability to work in a high pressured environment & work to deadlines
* Able to develop strong multi-disciplinary relationships
* Able to positively influence to ensure effective and efficient delivery of service
* Ability to develop and deliver action plans in relation to the NHS Agenda
* Previous waiting list management experience
* Awareness of Trust policies & procedures


Experience

* Experience of working in an acute Trust
* Experience of management of National Targets
* Experience of Excel, both in data management and data creation
* Experience in introducing innovative practice
* An understanding of operational management roles
