An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Support Worker to join a well-established Children's home. This full-time role offers a salary up to £26,150 and benefits.
Role Overview
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support children with learning disabilities in their daily lives, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing through consistent and compassionate care.
Positions Available
They are looking for 2 candidates: 1 for day shift and 1 for night shift.
Responsibilities
1. Providing direct care to children with learning disabilities, ensuring their dignity and safety at all times.
2. Assisting with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and mealtimes.
3. Building meaningful relationships to support emotional development and confidence.
4. Contributing to and delivering individual care plans supporting personal growth.
5. Liaising effectively with families and external professionals for holistic support.
6. Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
7. Documenting observations and progress to inform care strategies.
Candidate Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Childcare Worker, Residential Care Worker, Care Practitioner, Therapeutic Practitioner, or similar role.
2. At least 1 year of experience supporting children, especially those with learning disabilities or additional needs, is beneficial.
3. A Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent is preferred.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. A full UK driving license.
