We are seeking an experienced Freelance Land Surveyor to join a major civil engineering project based in Northamptonshire. This role will support the delivery of accurate survey information across various construction stages on a large infrastructure scheme.
The Role
Working alongside the Senior Land Surveyor, you will assist in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network to monitor, report, and validate construction progress. Key responsibilities will include:
1. Undertaking land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys
2. Using specialist equipment such as robotic total stations and 3D laser scanners
3. Processing and analysing survey data using AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, GIS, and related software
4. Preparing survey drawings and technical reports in collaboration with the Senior Land Surveyor
5. Presenting survey information to project stakeholders
6. Coordinating with Site Engineers to prioritise works, manage design changes, and address deviations or non-conformances
