Overview
The Investment Banking Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The role also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients, with the overall objective of formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.
Responsibilities
* Work with senior Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory officers and professionals and participate as the junior member of the Investment Banking team on client transaction projects or assignments.
* Organize and analyze sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans.
* Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals.
* Conduct economic and financial research.
* Evaluate a company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends.
* Build complex financial models for valuation purposes.
Qualifications
* Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience.
Certification & Compliance
This role is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime. The certification regime is a component of the Individual Accountability Regime, which requires that employees in certain roles be assessed as fit and proper. Citi UK regulated entities must ensure employees certified for a Certified Role meet fitness and propriety standards, including honesty, integrity, reputation, financial soundness, competence, and capability.
