Collegiate Cambridge
Here in University of Cambridge Development & Alumni Office, we’re supporting some of the Cambridge Colleges as they recruit for Senior Philanthropy roles over the coming months. These posts are central to each College’s individual fundraising efforts and offer the chance to contribute to the success of their communities.
What These Roles Involve
Although every College has its own character, the scope of the work is broadly similar. You’ll manage a focused portfolio of donors, close five‑ and six‑figure gifts, shape stewardship activity, develop legacy engagement and play a key role in delivering each College’s fundraising strategy. You’ll work closely with senior academics, professional staff and volunteers within the College, and you may act as deputy to the Development Director when needed.
Why Cambridge Colleges
Colleges offer close‑knit communities, engaged alumni and a strong sense of purpose. Philanthropy has a direct impact: supporting students, funding research and wellbeing, sustaining teaching excellence and enabling important capital and community projects. You’ll see clearly where your work makes a difference.
Who We’re Looking For
* Proven experience securing five‑ and six‑figure gifts
* An effective, thoughtful communicator who builds trust with senior stakeholders
* Someone who enjoys both strategy and hands‑on relationship management
* Organised, proactive and comfortable supporting colleagues
* Motivated by the mission and community life of Cambridge Colleges
