Data Manager
Liverpool | Full-Time | Hybrid Working | 12 month FTC
A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Data Manager to join its London office. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing, collaborative team.
The successful candidate will lead and support a team of data professionals responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of organisational data. The team provides support across multiple business functions and plays a critical role in ensuring that key data is accurate, consistent, and maintained to a high standard.
The Role
You will play a key role in strengthening data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting internal stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising a team of Data Stewards, including the day to day workload and ensuring the team is meeting service level commitments.
* Supporting and enhancing data governance and data management frameworks.
* Promoting data quality standards and best practice across the organisation.
* Ensuring alignment with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
* Working closely with stakeholders to improve processes and systems.
* Assisting with compliance and practice management systems.
* Conducting research and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
* Supporting change initiatives related to data and information management.

* A confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in data governance and quality.
* Proven experience in data governance, data management, or information governance roles.
* Excellent IT and administrative skills.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* Experience working in a professional services.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.
* Relevant certifications e.g. DAMA, CDMP (desirable)
