Overview
A permanent 27.5 hour part-time opportunity for a Screening Officer within the Adult Health & Social Care Contact Team, supporting integrated health and social care teams across the City. This includes adult social care, occupational therapy, Single Entry Point for Intermediate Care and District Nursing services. An exciting time of development for the team, offering the opportunity to contribute to its evolution.
Responsibilities
* Screening and processing referrals (adult social care, occupational therapy, intermediate care and district nursing) received via e-mail, electronic portal or the telephone.
* Dealing with telephone queries/enquiries including signposting and providing information as required.
* Booking clinic appointments/arranging home visits for district nursing services.
* Providing ad hoc administrative support as required.
* Demonstrate excellent customer care and communication skills with a clear understanding of customers and their needs.
* Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when inputting data into various database systems and using Microsoft Office applications.
* Work effectively as part of a team or on your own initiative, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Be flexible in approach and positively embrace change.

Qualifications
* 5 x GCSEs (to include English and Maths) or equivalent qualifications
Skills and knowledge
* Knowledge of a range of computer software systems, including Microsoft Office applications
* Understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality
* Ability to accurately update systems and input data
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, prioritising workload
* Positive attitude to change and contribute to ongoing improvement
* Ability to work flexibly with colleagues and partner organisations
* Excellent communication skills
Experience
* Experience with computer software systems including Microsoft Office
* Experience working in a busy high-pressured office environment
* Experience of customer service over the telephone (desirable)
