Hitachi Energy offers an exciting opportunity for a career-starting Associate Control System Engineer working in a hybrid working environment that requires 3 days in our Stone (Staffordshire) office. You\'ll be joining an established team within Grid Automation that offers training and support throughout your career with us.
If you have recently graduated and have 2+ years within our industry, preferably have some experience in Industrial Communication protocols and networking standards such as IEC61850, IEC 60870, DNP3, and Modbus, we want to hear from you.

How you\'ll make an impact
* Prepare functional design specifications and project scope documents
* Control System product knowledge in SCADA, RTU, PLC, Ethernet Switches, GPS, and experience in HMI Engineering, programming, and Communication Interfacing.
* Bring your experience in Industrial Communication protocols and networking standards such as IEC61850, IEC 60870, DNP3, and Modbus.
* Developing Control System solutions and full development cycle control (concept design to delivery), and knowledge in SCADA communication design, Bill of Materials, Signal list, and Cable list.
* Conduct and provide technical support during the pre-FAT and FAT stage, installation, and commissioning activities
* Assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
* Commercial awareness and support project management in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.)
* Assist customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Assist with communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings
Background
* 2-3 years proven experience within SCADA, HMI Engineering, or Control Systems
* Recently graduated in Electrical Engineering or similar
* Electrical background or similar
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* High attention to detail
* Good attitude to learning and career development
* Have a passion for our industry
