Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Intern to join our dynamic Marketing & Communications team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital marketing, have an understanding of various digital tools, and be capable of managing multiple projects efficiently. This role involves working closely with the broader team on global communications campaigns for internal and external audiences, supporting digital marketing campaigns, and ensuring the successful implementation of digital marketing strategies.
You will assist in upgrading, updating, and maintaining the Group’s digital estate and channel mix, both internal and external, of the Group and its client-facing brands. This includes performing web edits and Intranet edits to ensure all digital content is current and accurate.
Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a curiosity about AI tools and how they can support digital marketing tasks like content creation, campaign planning, and performance tracking. Openness to learning how AI can improve efficiency, creativity, and decision-making in day-to-day work is essential. A basic understanding of ethical considerations, such as data privacy and responsible use of AI-generated content, is also important. Finally, a collaborative mindset to share AI-related tips and support team adoption of new tools and workflows is highly valued.
Marketing & Communications is a relatively small team, so flexibility will be required. The successful candidate will be expected to enthusiastically take on new tasks, including those outside their core responsibilities, as required.
Role Responsibilities
* Assist with managing web projects including optimisation, build, development and migration projects relating to TP ICAP Group’s website portfolio.
* Publish content updates on company websites and intranet as well as action user experience improvements.
* Support sitemap updates, SEO audits, and content tagging to improve project efficiency.
* Conduct quality assurance checks across channels, including checking broken links, verifying mobile responsiveness, and testing anchor links.
* Research SEO trends, implement technical fixes, and track performance using Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
* Assist in developing editorial standards to ensure consistency and quality across all digital content.
* Assist with building email marketing campaigns in Dot Digital.
* Support video editing tasks as needed.
Experience / Competences
* Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and a strong willingness to learn within a corporate environment.
* Basic understanding or experience with CMS platforms (e.g. Drupal)
* Ability to organise tasks effectively and support multiple projects under guidance, ensuring timely delivery.
* Communication: Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders, utilising clear and effective communication skills.
* Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all assigned digital content and campaigns by maintaining high attention to detail.
* Analytical Thinking: Support the analysis of data and assist in generating insightful reports using tools like Google Analytics.
* Adaptability: Comfortable contributing to cross-functional, vertical, and virtual team projects.
* Interest in AI Integration: Explore generative AI technologies and assist in their integration into digital marketing strategies, enhancing content creation, personalisation, and customer engagement.
* Interest or foundational knowledge in financial services and regulatory compliance is beneficial.
