This role offers a unique opportunity for an engineering student to gain hands‑on experience by supporting key business objectives, focusing on the technical validation, documentation, and promotion of Stratasys medical solutions, including surgical planning, anatomical models, and other initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Support the Applications team in building deep technical knowledge on advanced applications in Medical 3D printing
* Actively support and contribute to new application development projects in collaboration with R&D, Product, and Sales/Marketing teams
* Conduct technical benchmarks and produce high-quality sample parts and demonstrators
* Assist in gathering, documenting, and communicating customer/application needs to internal stakeholders (R&D, Product, Sales, Marketing)
Basic Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Bio-Medical or Mechanical Engineering.
* A balance of at least 3 semesters remaining and availability 2-3 times a week.
* High verbal, written and presentation skills in English
* Self-motivated, independent,, and collaborative
* Ability to independently organize and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion
* High technical competency to support printer operation and maintenance
* Collaborative, team oriented, a strong ability to work well with others and have a customer service mentality with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Result driven, with high problem-solving capabilities
* Proficiency in medical imaging conversions from DICOM data through commercial and/or non-commercial software packages.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Must be creative, self-motivated, and be able to work effectively on projects with minimal direct supervision.
* Travel: up to 25%.
Nice to have
* Knowledge in 3D modeling / CAD software
* Experience in 3D Printing
* Strong academic background in image processing
* Exposure to or a strong academic interest in medical device regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, QMS, Biocompatibility, etc.)
* Working knowledge of anatomy, biology, organic chemistry, and demonstrated ability to understand medical specific terminology.
