The Role The Laboratory Technician will assist with engineering requirements on projects within the Central Laboratory. They will work closely with team members from both the laboratory and other departments supporting a culture of teamwork and flexibility. Tasks will include but not be limited to: To support a broad range of mechanical and electrical tests in the laboratory Ensure tests are carried out within the laboratory in a professional and timely manner, and providing feedback to all relevant teams Ensure that the company Health, Safety and Environmental standards are maintained at all times Liaise and advise with the projects with regards to testing requirements Skills and Qualifications Required Ability to read and understand Test Specifications both internal and customer A basic knowledge of quality systems such as IATF16949 and BS17025 Experience required Basic engineering qualifications preferred, however, not essential Hands on experience of both mechanical and electrical testing within a laboratory environment would be beneficial Special Conditions Must have an existing right to work in the UK Additional Benefits 25 days holiday, plus statutory holidays (increase with service) Life assurance Flexible benefits Company pension scheme with 12% employer contribution
