Job Description
The Locum Commercial Property Solicitor will be, with full support:
3. Managing SME property sales, purchases, and related due diligence
4. Handling landlord & tenant lease drafting, negotiation, assignments, surrenders
5. Overseeing secured lending work (e.g. charges, facility documents)
6. Acting as lead adviser on deals, liaising with clients, lenders, valuers, agents
7. Ensuring timely advice and transactions
8. Reviewing and drafting documentation (e.g. leases, licenses, legal opinions)
9. Identifying and managing risks, escalating issues where needed
10. Providing ad hoc mentoring or oversight to junior/assistant staff
The Successful Applicant
The Locum Commercial Property Solicitor should be:
11. A solicitor (or equivalent) with minimum 5+ PQE in commercial property / real estate law
12. Proven experience in landlord & tenant, leasing, assignments, secured lending
13. Confident handling SME‑level property transactions independently
14. Strong drafting and negotiation skills
15. Commercial mindset, able to work to deadlines and manage multiple files
16. Excellent communication (verbal & written) and client handling skills
17. Able to start ASAP
18. Comfortable working in hybrid setup (2 office / 2 home)
