 
        Description Are you passionate about marine environments and sustainability? Join us for a 12-month placement where you’ll play a key role in managing the Board’s Environmental Management System and conducting environmental monitoring within Dover Harbour and its approaches. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and make a real impact on environmental stewardship in one of the UK’s busiest ports. What You’ll Do Assist in the management of the Environmental Management System Carry out environmental monitoring in and around Dover Harbour Support initiatives that ensure safe and sustainable environmental practices What We’re Looking For Completion of second year of a BSc degree in a relevant subject Field and practical experience in environmental monitoring Understanding of species, ecosystems, habitats, and the natural and human influences on them Familiarity with marine environmental management and monitoring techniques Good working knowledge of MS Office and basic GIS understanding Awareness of how weather impacts ocean conditions Strong organisation skills and a proactive approach to sustainability Ability to work near/on water and on floating craft Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Why Join Us?
