About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Tiler to join our responsive repairs and maintenance team, working across social occupied and void properties. This is a hands on role where you’ll carry out high quality wall and floor tiling in bathrooms and kitchens, alongside supporting minor plastering and making good works.
Working across both occupied and void properties, you’ll need to take pride in your workmanship, deliver a right first time approach, and provide a professional service when working in residents’ homes. This role plays an important part in ensuring homes are safe, functional, and finished to a high standard.
Duties:
1. Carry out wall and floor tiling in bathrooms and kitchens, including full installations and repairs
2. Prepare surfaces prior to tiling, ensuring they are clean, level, and ready for application
3. Cut and fit tiles to required sizes and layouts, ensuring a high-quality finish
4. Complete grouting, sealing, and finishing works to a professional standard
5. Undertake minor plastering and patch repairs, making good walls and surfaces before and after tiling works
6. Remove and replace damaged or defective tiles as part of responsive repairs
7. Work across occupied and void social housing properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
8. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
9. Accurately record completed work, materials used, and any follow on works required
10. Identify and report any additional repairs, maintenance issues, or safeguarding concerns
11. Deliver excellent customer service, working respectfully and professionally in residents’ homes
12. Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations and company standards
Key Criteria:
13. Previous experience in wall and floor tiling, particularly in kitchens and bathrooms
14. Experience carrying out minor plastering and making good works
15. Experience in the above duties
16. Ability to work independently and complete jobs to a high standard
17. IT literate, with experience using handheld devices or PDA systems
18. Full UK driving licence
