POSITION OVERVIEW:
Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading/unloading.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
2. Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazardous materials) using electronic or manual systems.
3. Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and ropes.
4. Recoup/repair damaged freight as necessary.
5. Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
6. Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
7. Perform hostling duties if required.
8. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operations preferred.
* Experience with hostler/yard mule duties preferred.
* Ability to perform basic math and count accurately.
* Basic written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to lift and carry freight of varying weights multiple times a week, including lifting dock plates (~100 lbs) and opening trailer doors (~75 lbs of force).
* Ability to bend, twist, squat, and push/pull freight throughout shifts.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Dock environment with exposure to weather, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise.
* Hours may vary based on operational needs.
* Fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with frequent contact with personnel.

Shift Time: 1600-2100
Pay Range: $22.11 - $25.86 per hour
Starting Rate of Pay: $22.11/hour
