Ambassadors Resourcing is looking to recruit an experienced Level 3 Early Years Educator for a Birmingham Local Authority maintained nursery school in Saltley. This role involves working with babies and requires at least one-year post-qualification experience with this age group. Working hours will be 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Job Description
* Show a passion for working with children in the Early Years and understand the importance of meeting every child’s individual developmental needs and interests by effectively planning, observing and tailoring activities accordingly as well as supporting the children in a free flow environment.
* Have sound knowledge of the EYFS
* Promote and nurture the children’s development of creativity, problem solving, independence, individuality, and self-confidence.
* Contribute to a safe, clean, inspiring and inclusive environment
* Engage in excellent communication with the team and parents/carers
* Actively promote & support the safeguarding of all children, ensuring that the policies and procedures of the day nurseries and Ambassadors Resourcing are observed and their responsibilities are understood
Requirements
* Level 3 in Child Care and Education or the equivalent
* A minimum of GCSE Grade 4 in English, or the equivalent
* The ability to speak fluent English, as this post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
* A current Paediatric First Aid certificate
* An enhanced DBS and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and have a legal right to work in the country
* Two acceptable reference checks from previous employers, including from a childcare & education setting, or educational institutions from the last 2 years
* An in-person interview which will include questions about safeguarding and the candidate’s understanding of working with children
* Shortlisted candidates will be subject to Check a Teacher’s Record & an online search as part of Ambassadors Resourcing Safer Recruitment checks
