Job Description
3. Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and posting to the ledger.
4. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
5. Prepare and process payment runs in a timely manner.
6. Assist with month-end procedures and reporting requirements.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase ledger transactions.
8. Communicate effectively with suppliers to address and resolve queries.
9. Support the accounting team with ad hoc financial tasks as required.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
11. Previous experience in a similar role within accounting and finance.
12. Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and systems.
13. Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
14. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
15. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
16. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
