The Opportunity:
We're representing a well-established, forward-thinking UK infrastructure and engineering consultancy currently looking to appoint a Senior Structures Engineer to join their expanding consulting team in Scotland. They require a Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE) with an extensive background in Bridge Engineering.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a business that holds long-term infrastructure contracts (up to 12 years in duration) and delivers a diverse portfolio of major road, bridge, and transportation design projects for key public and private sector clients across the country.

As a Senior Structures Engineer, you'll be a technical lead within a multi-disciplinary team, delivering high-quality structural solutions and supporting the development of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead design work on structural engineering schemes from start to finish
Produce and review designs, calculations, and technical documentation
Provide technical leadership, mentoring and quality assurance
Engage with clients and stakeholders on design progress and project updates
Manage the workload of a small technical team
Support with bidding activity and contribute to business development
Promote best practice in health & safety and risk managementWhat We're Looking For:
Strong background in structural or civil engineering (bridges/highways preferred)
Experience managing and delivering multi-stage engineering projects
Skilled in structural analysis and design tools (e.g. LUSAS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design)
Good commercial awareness and understanding of relevant technical standards
Working knowledge of CDM and risk assessments
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (ICE, IStructE or equivalent desirable)
Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experienceWhat's On Offer:
