The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take full commercial leadership across the division, overseeing multiple projects and supporting senior operational leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading commercial strategy and contractual governance (NEC & bespoke contracts)
* Managing and developing Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams
* Overseeing tender reviews, pricing strategy, and risk mitigation
* Driving margin protection and commercial performance
* Managing change control, claims, and dispute resolution where required
* Acting as a key interface between operational, technical, and executive teams
This role requires a commercially astute professional who is confident operating at both project and strategic level.
About You
* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within civil engineering or specialist infrastructure
* Strong contractual knowledge (NEC essential; experience with complex forms advantageous)
* Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects
* Strong leadership and team development capability
* Commercially strategic, risk-aware, and solutions-focused
* Comfortable operating within technically complex environments
