The role
SEN Teaching Assistants
Prospero Teaching are seeking experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a Good Ofsted:rated Special Educational Needs School located in the Blandford area.
The school provides specialist education and care for pupils aged 7:19 years with Complex Learning Difficulties and Associated Needs, including:
Autism (ASD) Speech and Language Disorders Challenging Behaviour
You will be joining a committed and nurturing team who work together to ensure every pupil can excel within a supportive, pupil:centred environment.
Role Details:
Location: Blandford, Dorset Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Type of Work: Supporting students with Autism and Learning Difficulties Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Temporary/Permanent Hours: Full:time, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: From GBP102.62 per day
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Previous TA experience is preferred, ideally within SEN, but not essential if you have the right attitude and passion. A genuine interest in supporting children with ASD, Aspergers and Complex Needs. Proactive, positive, energetic, and confident engaging in classroom activities. Willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities when required.
Eligibility Requirements:
Right to Work in the UK. Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for one). Two professional, child:related references. (Min.)
