Associate Solicitor – French-Speaking Jurisdiction (0–3 PQE)
Location: GA-Alliance, London Office
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Languages: Fluent French & English required; Italian a strong plus
The Role
We are looking for an Associate (0–3 years PQE) with strong legal training and excellent communication skills to support our French-speaking practice. The successful candidate will work on a broad caseload, including:
· Advising corporate and commercial clients on cross-border matters involving French-speaking jurisdictions
· Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents in French and English
· Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda, opinions, and client updates
· Supporting litigation and dispute-resolution matters with a cross-border dimension
· Coordinating with internal teams and international partner firms
· Engaging directly with clients and contributing to business development initiatives
Key Requirements
Essential
· 0–3 years PQE (qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction; dual qualification welcome)
· Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
· Strong academic background in law
· Excellent drafting, analytical, and research skills
· Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
· Interest in international and cross-jurisdictional legal work
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly Desirable
· Working proficiency in Italian
· Experience with corporate, commercial, cross-border, or private international law
· Prior experience in an international firm or multi-jurisdictional environment
