Join to apply for the Depute Centre Manager role at Perth & Kinross Council.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and modern leader who can work in a professional manner as part of a busy team. This is a unique opportunity to work across two of Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership's Learning Disability Day Services, including the Friends Unlimited Network service. Our services provide a mix of community and building based support for individuals on busy activity timetables.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct line management for around 13 staff and lead, support and inspire a team of 41 staff within the service.
* Work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the services and deliver high-quality care provision.
* Build positive relationships with service users, parents/carers/guardians, and other internal/external stakeholders; communicate effectively to ensure quality outcomes.
* Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and multi-disciplinary partners to achieve the best outcomes for the individuals supported.
* Demonstrate strong communication and digital skills; manage priorities, deadlines and problem solving; operate under pressure with attention to detail.
* Promote the Council's Values and Behaviours (Ambition, Compassion, Integrity) in daily practice.
* Act as a positive influence on how the team works with each other and with the people and communities served.
What you will need to know about the post
* Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive PKC vehicles.
* Hold an SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or a higher/equivalent qualification with relevant work experience.
* Be based at Gleneagles Day Opportunities, Gleneagles Road, Perth, PH20 4AW. Hours can be discussed to promote flexibility and work-life balance, provided service needs are met.
Hours and working pattern
Mon-Thu 08:45-16:00, Fri 08:45-15:45.
