We are seeking an exceptional Head of Corporate Communications to deliver our communication and engagement strategies and to provide inspirational leadership for a team of five communications professionals.
Role responsibilities:
1. Deliver our corporate communications strategy to ensure high levels of awareness and engagement with key external audiences.
2. Lead media relations and crisis communications strategy, advising senior leaders on reputation issues.
3. Implement the strategic communication and engagement plan for staff to support understanding and delivery of Strategy 2030 and celebrate our staff.
4. Serve as the central communications point of contact for faculties and directorates for communications and engagement.
5. Build effective two-way communication with our community of students across Greenwich, Avery Hill, and Medway campuses.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in leading high-performing teams with a proven track record in communications, PR, or media relations.
* Ability to navigate complex organizations and build stakeholder relations at all levels.
* Excellence in crisis and reputation management.
* Passion for the value of communications to support the university's strategic goals.
This is a hybrid role based two days per week at our UNESCO World Heritage campus in Greenwich, with three days remote work.
