An opportunity has arisen at our Derby office for a Legal Clerk (Police Station Accredited or working towards) to join us in our Crime team.

The successful candidate will be joining a long-established department with a highly respected team of Criminal Defence Solicitors. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of accessible and responsive legal support, working with a strong team who value clients and work hard to support them, on hand for 24 hours a day to represent clients at any and every stage.
Role overview
The successful candidate will be police station accredited or working towards accreditation. The role will involve running a mixed caseload of criminal cases. It is essential that the candidate is able to take part in the police station out of hours rota and be available to work outside of normal working hours when required, including weekends. We will also consider part time hours.
What we are looking for
* A degree in Law (or a relevant field) would be advantageous.
* Police Station Accreditation, or working towards.
* Previous experience as a Legal Clerk or in a similar role.
* Ability to work on the Police Station out of hours rota.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professionalism.
