Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £15.00 - £15.50 per hour / £28,860 - £29,822 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4pm & Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm

We are recruiting for a Wirer on a permanent basis to join a leading manufacturer who design and manufacture products for the Avionics and Defence industry. Working in modern facilities you will be part of a hardworking, friendly and dedicated team assembling new, prototype and serviceable high value products for various Avionics and Defence Solutions.
Responsibilities
* Wiring of small units
* Work may be conducted under microscopic lenses
* Intricate soldering
* Crimping of wires and attaching connectors
* Testing of products
* Working to drawings or manufacturing instructions
* Using hand tools
* Using a computer to perform basic product testing and record results
* Running basic testing
* Excellence in attention to detail is paramount
Qualifications / Experience
* Experienced in wiring in a production/manufacturing environment or as part of a network or telecoms role
* Electronics experience is advantageous (education, qualifications or practical experience)
* Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
* Ability to use multimeters or other test equipment for functional tests
