Join to apply for the SEND Teacher role at TieTalent. Core subject tutoring (Maths, English, or Science) for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Leicestershire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs supported. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND and other needs, including MLD and SLD.
Targeted Provision supports vulnerable learners with a trauma-aware, holistic approach. Successful tutors will work 1:1 with children and young people in a creative and flexible manner, focusing on engagement and improved educational outcomes.

The SEN/SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD or other needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support will be delivered through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and require educational and social-emotional support
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions meeting individual needs and advancing educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with obtaining at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work (including for remote/online roles)
* Ability to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies
Employment status
* Engage with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers work with us
* Not a self-employed position

Individuals with teaching backgrounds may have roles such as SENCo, SLD/MLD Teacher, Autism/ADHD Support Teacher, Intervention Specialist, Ex-Teacher, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Educational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Educational Psychologist, or Inclusion Coordinator.
