Job Title: Commercial Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) – Business Partnering & Analysis
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
This position involves providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business performance and growth. The analyst will act as a strategic partner to senior management, offering financial insights to drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead month-end reporting and analysis, delivering timely and accurate financial results.
* Analyze financial results, highlight variances, and provide insights.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor and improve site financial performance.
* Ensure financial KPIs are accurately reported, highlighting key trends.
* Communicate performance effectively to the business, fostering accountability.
* Manage the month-end query tracker and support process improvements.
* Work with the Business Intelligence team to automate reporting and analysis tools.
Budget and Forecasting:
* Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
* Support finance partners across the group in budgeting activities.
* Maintain consistent financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
* Assist in implementing automation for reporting and budgeting systems.
Stakeholder Management:
* Build strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams.
* Serve as the main finance contact for queries.
* Provide financial training and guidance to senior leaders.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
* Studying towards or completed a relevant accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
* Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and presentation.
* Proven ability to influence financial outcomes and work with operational managers.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to present complex data visually for senior stakeholders.
* Management accounting experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI and Access Dimensions is advantageous.
