The Role
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on major projects in Manchester City Centre, with support from their Preston office.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-structured commercial team and work on significant projects under JCT and NEC forms of contract.
Responsibilities
* Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account
* Subcontract procurement and management
* Preparing and reviewing subcontract agreements
* Valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Cost reporting and forecasting
* Managing subcontractor payments
* Attending site and client meetings
* Working closely with the Project Manager and Estimating team
* Ensuring projects are delivered within budget
RequirementsQuantity Surveyor
* 25+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Experience working for a main contractor
* Experience working on projects ideally within education, commercial, or residential sectors
* Knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts
* Good commercial and contractual awareness
Senior Quantity Surveyor
* 5+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Strong experience working for a main contractor
* Experience managing own projects commercially
* Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
* Ability to manage and mentor junior staff
* Experience working on £5m+ projects
Salary & Benefits
* Quantity Surveyor: £35,000 £55,000
* Senior Quantity Surveyor: £55,000 £65,000
