The Opportunity
Are you an experienced production leader with a passion for people, safety, and performance? Walker and Son—a part of Samworth Brothers—is seeking a proactive and hands-on Pre-Bake Shift Manager to lead and inspire our production teams. As a Pre-Bake Shift Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day production, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations. You’ll manage staffing, performance, and resource planning, while driving standards in food safety, health and safety, and continuous improvement.
* Manage shift performance and staffing
* Maintain compliance with food safety and H&S standards
* Conduct daily team huddles and audits
* Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
* Use data to drive continuous improvement
* Foster a safe, positive and productive working environment
The Ideal Candidate

* Proven experience in modern food manufacturing
* Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP (or equivalent knowledge)
* IOSH Managing Safely certification
