Job Description
Location: Novotel Cardiff Centre
The ideal candidate must be well-versed in a variety of cocktail recipes and techniques, with a strong ability to create and customize drinks to delight our guests. We seek a skilled mixologist to craft innovative cocktails, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a vibrant bar atmosphere. Extensive knowledge of spirits and mixology techniques is required. Creativity and teamwork are essential. Passion for the craft is a must!
* Behaves and acts in an exemplary fashion, embodying the brand mindset.
* Supervise the Food and Beverage team, helping them improve their skills and supporting their career development.
* Handle complaints promptly and keep the manager informed.
Customer relations
* Develop high-quality relationships with guests from arrival throughout their stay to foster loyalty.
Professional techniques / Production
* Determine the best organization (production, distribution, storage, etc.) based on infrastructure and equipment.
* Supervise stock rotations for drinks and supplies, and identify needs.
Team management / Talent & Culture
* Help employees improve their skills and provide support.
* Contribute to guest satisfaction by delivering high-quality, friendly service.
Commercial / Sales
* Increase sales through innovative and reliable advice.
* Promote special offers and the full range of products.
Management and administration
* Maintain inventory of equipment and track items with the F&B Manager.
Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment
* Ensure safety of people and property.
* Respect the hotel's environmental commitments (energy saving, recycling, waste sorting).
During duty, confidentiality is paramount. Flexibility is expected to ensure high standards are maintained.
Salary: 13.62 per hour
Qualifications
* Previous customer service experience.
* Cash handling experience.
* Hotel experience in a similar role (desired).
* Guest-oriented, attentive to details, well-organized, team spirit.
