Role Outline
As a Laboratory Administrator you will play an important role in supporting the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory through a wide range of administrative and coordination activities. Working within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment, you will help ensure accurate record keeping, effective sample management and high standards of customer service.
You will be responsible for maintaining laboratory records and accurately updating the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), while supporting the management and tracking of samples, referrals, certificates and associated documentation. The role will also involve monitoring laboratory stock levels, coordinating orders, responding to customer correspondence and supporting general laboratory processes including equipment checks, housekeeping and temperature monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the laboratory by completing administration processes on a daily basis.
* Responsible for accurate use of the Laboratory Management System (LIMS).
* Manage samples and records in relation to:
o Referral samples / coordinating timely transfers.
o Managing deviating or non-conforming samples with associated record keeping.
o Sentinel and MRO logging, monitoring, tracking and uploads.
o DAMSP Certificate production and release.
* Scan, file and dispose of sensitive customer request forms in line with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
* Monitor stock levels to ensure uninterrupted supply of required laboratory consumables, chemicals, reagents and in house standards.
* Monitor and respond to correspondence via the laboratory shared mailbox, ensuring timely communication with customers.
* Place orders through approved suppliers and support the evaluation of alternative suppliers where required.
* Carry out maintenance and calibration checks on general laboratory equipment to ensure its correct and effective operation including support with Temperature monitoring.
* Raise non-conformances, planned deviations, changes, risks and improvements as required.
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness and good housekeeping at all times.
* In conjunction with the Company’s Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager, ensure that all work is performed in accordance with ISO 17025, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 requirements in testing and quality control.
* Adhere to all company policies, Health and Safety procedures, business systems manuals and regulatory requirements relating to quality, information security and environmental management systems.
* Ensure commitment to impartiality and confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of information.
* Participate in Team Meetings and take an active interest in the functions of the laboratory.
* Collaborate with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
* Assist with audits as required.
* Participate in annual Appraisal and any relevant training as required.
* Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
What we are looking for
Minimum requirement is to be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, or have previous office administration experience.

We are offering a salary of £24,784.50 per annum
