Positions
We are looking to recruit 4 new KSS Training Programme Directors (TPDs) in Anaesthetics for the following posts:
* TRAS - 1 PA
* ACCS - 1.5 PA
* Stage 1 Sussex - 1 PA
* Stage 3 Sussex - 1 PA
All candidates invited for interview will be asked if they wish to also be considered for alternative TPD posts.
Role Overview
The Training Programme Director works with and supports the Head of School to lead the delivery of a wide range of functions, aligned to the NHS England mandate. The TPD supports the Postgraduate Dean, working across health (and, where relevant, social care) to ensure education reflects changing service models and delivers an integrated workforce of professionals from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
* Accountable to the Head of School for the professional and managerial aspects of the post.
* Improve learner supervision, assessment and experience, and engage faculty to ensure effective educational outcomes.
* Support whole workforce transformation and develop multi‑professional links.
* Work as part of a team to deliver education that meets changing service models.
* Focus on both current and future educational needs.

Logistics
* Inter‑Authority Transfer (IAT) will be initiated via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) for NHS staff, with option to opt out.
* Contractual office base: members are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in NHS England offices.
