SEND Support Assistant – Keighley (BD21)
Daily Rate: £90–£105/day | Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm Opportunities
We are recruiting SEND Support Assistants to work with pupils in Keighley across specialist provisions and mainstream schools with additional needs. This role requires individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
* Assist with communication, independence, and social skills development.
* Support personal care and moving & handling where required.
* Work with teaching staff, therapists, and families to follow EHCPs and behaviour plans.
* Provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service covering BOTH Child and Adult workforce (or willingness to apply).
* Previous experience in schools, youth work, residential care, or supporting SEN is highly desirable.
* Reliable, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, term-time).
* Team Teach, Makaton, or Moving & Handling training is an advantage but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
