Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,352.48 per annum
Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to support the SMT department in producing high-quality PCB assemblies for Garmin products. You will work hands‑on with advanced equipment, perform critical inspections, and contribute to key assembly processes in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. This position is highly dynamic, embracing continuous change and innovation during an exciting period of growth.
* Manual Surface Mount PCB soldering to IPC standards
* Manual Through Hole PCB soldering to IPC standards
* Operate Through Hole Soldering robot
* Depaneling of populated PCBs
* Testing and Inspection of PCBs
* Assisting in the operation of SMT equipment, including Onloader, Screen printers, pick‑and‑place machines, reflow ovens, batch oven, Unloader, AOI and depanelising equipment
* Perform Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) to ensure accuracy and quality
* Participate in material kitting and staging to keep production flowing smoothly
* Assembly of standard product
* Use of hand and power tools
* Operate various items of machinery
* Follow processes in accordance with quality procedures and documentation
* Test of standard product
* Assist in the preparation of test and quality proceduresCompletion of production and test documentation
* Inspection, cleaning and preparation of standard product
* Packaging and dispatch of finished goods
* Adherence to company policies and procedures
* Any other reasonable duties
