Nursery Teacher - (Full-time, Temporary)
Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Start Date: January 2026
Pay Rate: £120–£150 per day
Education Personnel is delighted to be working with a nurturing and well-established nursery based in the NG18 Mansfield area. This vibrant early years setting is known for its warm atmosphere, well-resourced learning spaces, and a strong commitment to supporting children’s natural curiosity and emotional wellbeing. The nursery offers bright indoor rooms, inviting sensory areas, and a safe outdoor learning space that encourages exploration throughout the day.
This position would suit a Nursery Teacher who truly enjoys supporting early development and is confident in building children’s communication, independence and social skills. As a Nursery Teacher you will become part of a close-knit, supportive team who promote high-quality interactions, child-led learning, and a caring, consistent environment for 3–4-year-olds.
Your Role Will Involve:
• Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play
• Creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe and inspired
• Carrying out observations, contributing to learning journeys and monitoring progress
• Working collaboratively with nursery practitioners to provide consistent, high-quality care
• Communicating openly with parents and carers about children’s daily experiences
• Supporting early literacy, numeracy and language development through stories, play and hands-on activities
• Following the EYFS framework, safeguarding expectations and all nursery procedures
We’re Looking For Someone With:
• QTS, EYTS, or an equivalent early years teaching qualification
• Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum
• Previous experience in nursery or early years classroom environments
• A warm, patient and child-centred approach
• Creative planning skills to support children’s holistic development
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A committed, dependable and enthusiastic attitude towards early years education
