Crown Court Mental Health Lead – Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT)
The Crown Court Liaison and Diversion Practitioner will deliver the Lifeline and Diversion service across the two Cambridgeshire Crown Courts (Peterborough and Cambridge) and provide clinical leadership to colleagues in the screening, assessment, treatment and management of vulnerable children and adults accessing the wider Liaison and Diversion Service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering 80% of time in direct and indirect clinical care, including consultations, advice, support, formulations, assessments and brief interventions for individuals presenting with vulnerabilities in the criminal justice system.
* Providing clinical cover and input in Magistrates courts across Cambridgeshire, including Huntingdon Law Courts.
* Supporting leadership and overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the service when required.
* Assessing care needs, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care, and setting standards of care within the team.
* Writing robust, clear and concise reports on outcomes and recommendations for stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Qualified band 7 practitioner with experience in mental health liaison.
* Ability to travel independently around Cambridgeshire, meeting strict time deadlines; must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
* Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work independently within the probation and judiciary service.
* Flexibility to deliver care at Cambridge and Peterborough Crown Courts and provide coverage for other courts as needed.
