Associate Director – Infrastructure (Scotland)

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director to lead on infrastructure projects within our Scotland region.


Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring good communication and adherence to governance processes.
* Understand, anticipate, inform and deliver great outcomes for our clients, every time, everywhere.
* Drive exceptional delivery, health & safety, commercial, risk management and quality performance on infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.
* Be heavily involved in winning new work and developing a team of Project Managers.


Key Accountabilities

* Project management discipline, including establishing overall success criteria (time, cost, technical and performance).
* Identify and inform line managers of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
* Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be used throughout the project.
* Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
* Advise on procurement of resources.
* Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
* Monitor and apply performance management techniques; manage change control; monitor project finances.
* Manage project information flow with the client through regular meetings and written communications; prepare formal project progress reports.
* Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages.


Business Development

* Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
* Assist in production of bid documentation.
* Knowledge management: capture and input key project information into the internal database.
* Financial management: ensure prompt client invoicing and monitor project financial status.
* Process improvement: identify ways to improve internal systems and processes.


Qualifications

* NEC accredited Project Manager
* Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction or a related discipline
* Experience working on major highways projects
