Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine love for working with children. This role requires a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young learners. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all staff members adhere to best practices in childcare and early childhood education.
Duties
* Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive work environment.
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development.
* Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of nursery staff.
* Ensure that all nursery policies and procedures are followed consistently by staff members.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
* Conduct regular assessments of children's development and maintain accurate records.
Skills
* Proven management experience in a childcare or nursery setting.
* Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff members.
* Experience working with children, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to drive, facilitating transportation as needed for nursery activities or outings.
* A nurturing attitude towards children, combined with patience and creativity in engaging them in learning activities.
