Title: Logistics Coordinator
Job Type: 6 Month Contract (Temp to Perm / Reviewed for extension)
Type: Remote / Hybrid
Office Location: Horsham, West Sussex (Ad Hoc Visits)
Hours: Monday : Friday, (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: GBP15 : GBP18 per hour (depending on experience)
This logistics specialist role supports transportation management service. Responsibilities include managing client inquiries, designing transportation solutions (domestic/international, import/export), negotiating pricing, and creating distribution orders. Youll also review documentation and track orders while adhering to company quality standards and timelines. Strong domestic and international transportation knowledge is required, along with proficiency in company systems and SOPs.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain Good Distribution Practices (GDP) across all responsibilities.
* Manage Patheon Manufacturing API logistics, including import VAT reclaim and FBS transport services.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Global Relationship Directors, Commercial/Sales, Finance).
* Provide comprehensive support for TTM, including client interaction, contract management, pricing, QA issue resolution, quoting, and invoicing.
* Manage daily queries and compile key performance metrics.
* Actively participate in meetings and cross:functional process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in global logistics.
* Proven supplier management and client:facing skills.
* Expertise in order fulfillment, distribution, customs, and handling of temperature:sensitive products.
* Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical and biological logistics regulations (import/export, customs clearance, duty, GMP).
* Experience with invoicing and vendor negotiation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical and problem:solving abilities.
* Proven project management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in personal computer applications and distribution track and trace systems.
* Ability to understand client requirements, propose appropriate solutions, and communicate those solutions effectively.
