Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Female Specialist Practitioner to join our team in Humberside. The role involves supporting non‑custodial work within our Liaison and diversion, Reconnect & MHTR team.
Hours & Salary
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Salary: £43,609 – £49,175 (full‑time)
Location
Humberside region, Hull office. Travel required across the region when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in your area of expertise, critically appraising, evaluating and applying knowledge of theoretical frameworks, research evidence and policy.
* Conduct assessments of vulnerable females detained in police or court custody, and provide relevant information to assist and inform Police, Court, Crown Prosecution and probation services.
* Promote the welfare of women both internally within PPG and externally to wider organisations.
* Contribute to the development of the non‑custodial female pathway by building links with local services and agencies that address gender‑specific needs, and developing referral pathways to reduce health inequalities within this targeted group.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum 3 years of experience working with females with complex needs.
* Relevant qualification such as IDVA, ISVA social work, midwifery, health visiting or equivalent.
* Experience providing case oversight or supervision.
* Evidence of working with a trauma‑informed approach.
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills, including report writing.
