My client, a market leader within aerospace manufacturing, is on the hunt for an experienced Production Engineer!
Role and Responsibilities –
In this role, you will aim to improve manufacturing efficiency, utilisation, and productivity using Lean Manufacturing techniques and NPI Processes. You will play a key role in upcoming exciting projects for the business!
Other responsibilities include:
* Reducing process variability, increasing product quality, and reducing costs through Lean Manufacturing and relevant techniques
* Reviewing and monitoring Cell Layouts for optimal process flow and managing changes as needed
* Leading specific improvement projects to achieve Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People Objectives
* Conducting process capability and Value Stream Mapping studies to identify improvement opportunities with quality engineers
Experience or Qualifications –
* BSc or HNC in Mechanical / Production Engineering (preferably with Aerospace background)
* Experience designing tooling and fixtures for heading, forging, and machining
* Experience with metal forming or metalworking processes
* Proven track record of process improvements and capability enhancement
