Chef Manager- RAF Cranwell
Up to £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience) | 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to lead a large, established catering operation, managing a team of 15 and delivering high-quality food across multiple daily service periods.
The Role
As Chef Manager, you will take full responsibility for the catering operation, leading from the front with a hands‑on approach while overseeing planning, compliance, and team performance. You will ensure smooth delivery across all service times and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Service Times:
* Breakfast: 06:00–08:00
* Lunch: 11:30–13:00
* Evening Meal: 17:30–19:30
This role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00, offering strong work–life balance. However, flexibility is essential, with an expectation to support weekend services and functions as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading, motivating, and developing a team of 15
* Taking a hands‑on role in food production and service delivery
* Managing rotas, labour control, and operational planning
* Overseeing stock management, ordering, and budget control
* Ensuring full compliance with food safety and Health & Safety legislation
* Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement
* Maintaining high standards across breakfast, lunch, and evening service

* Proven experience in a similar Chef Manager or senior catering leadership role
* Strong leadership and people‑management skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Confident managing multiple service periods in a busy environment
* Flexible and proactive approach to meeting business demands
* Passion for delivering high‑quality food and service
